Plans designed for veterans by veterans
The type of coverage you have from your service may help you decide which plan will be a good fit.
What are the types of coverage?
If you have TRICARE for Life, UPMC for Life PPO Salute (PPO) may be a good fit for you
This plan is recommended for veterans with over 20 years of service to our country, who are also on the TRICARE For Life plan. This plan also has a $0 monthly premium, and you can get $75 per month back in your Social Security check.
How does this plan work?
This plan works with your TRICARE For Life plan and gives you extra benefits you may not have now. This plan closely mirrors Original Medicare and does not offer drug coverage, so you can keep TRICARE For Life as a secondary plan.

What is TRICARE For Life and how do you know if you qualify?
TRICARE For Life is a program that steps in to help cover the costs that members would typically be responsible for after Medicare pays its portion. TRICARE-covered services include hospital stays, skilled nursing facilities, hospice care, prescription drugs, and more.
Requirements for TRICARE For Life include Medicare Parts A and B coverage and a valid military ID. If you are unsure if you qualify, visit the TRICARE For Life website.
If you have VA coverage, UPMC for Life HMO No Rx (HMO) may be a good choice for you

Plus, you get $39 per month back in your Social Security check. If you already have credible drug coverage (as a veteran or Pace/PaceNET recipient), you do not need a Part D plan.
