Our app makes it easy to navigate your insurance benefits, find the care you need, access telehealth services, and get answers to your questions – anytime, anywhere. Getting Started with the UPMC Health Plan app
App Store:
- Open the App Store. You may be prompted to sign in with your Apple ID.
- Tap the search tab at the bottom of the screen and type “UPMC Health Plan”.
- Tap “Get” next to the UPMC Health Plan app icon.
- Double click to install.
Google Play Store:
- Open the App Store. You may be prompted to sign in with your Apple ID.
- Tap the search tab at the bottom of the screen and type “UPMC Health Plan”.
- Tap “Install” next to the UPMC Health Plan app icon.
Once the app is downloaded, open it and click “Register”. It will walk you through creating your UPMC Health Plan digital login. You will need your member ID number to register.

Update your Communication Preferences
Traditional mail could take days to arrive. Go paperless to receive your documents electronically by email or text message. By electing to receive documents like your Explanations of Benefits (EOB) on the member site rather than by mail, you’ll have everything you need in one place. Sign in to update your preferences.
View Documents and Details
See your coverage and plan details and a snapshot of your health care spending, view your recent claims, access your digital member ID card, and review your plan details and documents.
Find Care
Call your primary care provider or search for a new one, find a pharmacy, schedule a video visit, or talk to a nurse through the UPMC MyHealth 24/7 Nurse Line1.
Wellness
Check your progress toward earning your wellness incentive (if applicable), track your steps, or take your well-being assessment.
Get Help
Securely chat with, message, or call a Health Care Concierge to ask questions about your coverage or submit an appeal about a benefits decision.
Access Account Information
Easily access your account information, view your app settings, read messages in your message inbox, leave feedback about the app, and read UPMC Health Plan's legal and privacy documents.
