Extra support for your child

If your child needs day-to-day help with a health condition, UPMC for Kids is here for you, thanks to our care management programs. A nurse can help you better understand your child’s condition. You can call our Health Care Concierge team at 1-800-650-8762 and select the option for care management services. TTY users should call 711.

We have programs for:

  • Asthma
  • Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)
  • Diabetes
  • Lifestyle nutrition and exercise
  • Maternity

You do not have to enroll your child in any of these programs. If you do not want to join, just let the nurse know when they call you.

Teach the child in your life about vaccines with our Daniel Tiger audio story

Immunizations or vaccines are a key part of keeping children as healthy as possible. Many children may be scared of getting vaccinated. We can help! We're proud to partner with Fred Rogers Productions to offer a free audio story in which Daniel Tiger talks about being brave when he gets a shot. The story is great for children who are age 6 or younger. You can listen to it together before your child gets a well-visit immunization, flu shot, or COVID-19 vaccine or booster.

How to access the Daniel Tiger audio story

You can listen to our 4-minute story using your Amazon Alexa or Google Home device. Just say "Ask UPMC Health Plan to tell me a Daniel Tiger story."
