Take advantage of these benefits and services that can help you stay healthy and get the care you need when you need it. Increased and improved! Routine vision coverage Starting Jan. 1, you can enjoy a $575 allowance per year for contact lenses or eyewear. Plus, you will be able to use your vision allowance on any kind of lens type you like, including progressive and transition lenses. Because you are also enrolled in UPMC Community HealthChoices, you will also get an additional $100 allowance per year for eyewear. Dental coverage Your UPMC for Life Complete Care plan provides you a yearly allowance for comprehensive dental services like fillings, simple tooth extractions, root canals, bridges, crowns, dentures, and periodontal work. Because you are also enrolled in UPMC Community HealthChoices, you get an additional $500 allowance per year for dental services. Your plans also include coverage for oral exams, cleanings, and x-rays. Improved! Home-delivered meals Enjoy home-delivered meals after an inpatient hospital stay, an observational hospital stay, or a skilled nursing facility stay. You can receive two deliveries of 14 meals each (28 meals total) to your home at no cost. Meal options are healthy and can be tailored to your dietary needs. New! Virtual senior academy Get health and wellness education through interactive online and face- to-face education courses at no cost. You can choose from a variety of classes, including healthy eating, cooking, fitness, art, and many more. You’ll also get connected to other participants throughout Pennsylvania. Home safety products Members can choose up to six bathroom safety products per year at no cost. Members in western PA counties can also choose from new home safety products as part of their six products per year. 1 Transportation Need a ride? Take advantage of trips to and from plan-approved locations, such as your doctor’s office, local pharmacy, physical therapy, and lab facilities at no cost. 1 UPMC for Life does not install home or bathroom safety devices or reimburse for costs associated with the installation of these devices. UPMC for Life is not liable for improper installation, repairs, or other modifications. Members are responsible for any and all costs associated with installation. Additional bathroom safety products and home-delivered meals may be covered for those with UPMC Community HealthChoices long-term services and supports based on your service plan.
