Insulet Corporation has recalled the Omnipod 5 system. This device is a tubeless insulin delivery system for use in patients with diabetes.This does not impact the Omnipod 5 Pod, the Omnipod® DASH Insulin Management System, the Omnipod® Insulin Management System, or compatible Android smartphone devices that have the Omnipod 5 App installed. Abbott has announced a medical device correction for certain FreeStyle Libre 3 sensors. These sensors monitor blood glucose levels as part of the FreeStyle Libre system, which includes a sensor, reader, and app. The correction applies only to the sensor.
