UPMC Health Plan Expands In-Network Access to St. Luke’s Health Network

Pittsburgh (August 21, 2020) – UPMC Health Plan, a leading health insurer in Pennsylvania, has entered into a participating provider agreement with St. Luke’s University Health Network (SLUHN).

“We believe that including St. Luke’s network of hospitals and services is important for our members in central and eastern Pennsylvania,” said Sandra McAnallen, Senior Vice President, Clinical Affairs and Quality Performance for UPMC Health Plan. “Providing our members access to physicians and hospitals close to home is important, and this agreement brings more choice, lower costs and the other benefits of in-network access to the residents of Lehigh Valley.”

The agreement provides in-network access to SLUHN’s facilities, and primary care, specialty care, urgent care and emergency care services in Lehigh, Northampton, Carbon, Bucks, Montgomery, Berks, Monroe, Schuylkill, and Luzerne counties. Specifically, the agreement covers the following SLUHN locations:

• St. Luke’s Hospital – Allentown Campus
• St. Luke’s Hospital – Anderson Campus
• St. Luke’s Hospital – Bethlehem Campus
• St. Luke’s Hospital – Easton Campus
• St. Luke’s Hospital – Gnaden Huetten Campus
• St. Luke’s Hospital – Miners Campus
• St. Luke’s Hospital – Monroe Campus
• St. Luke’s Quakertown Hospital
• St. Luke’s Hospital – Sacred Heart
• St. Luke’s Hospital – Upper Bucks Campus
• St. Luke’s Hospice
• St. Luke’s Home Health
• St. Luke’s Emergency & Transport Services
• St. Luke’s Physician Group, Inc.

At this time, Geisinger St. Luke’s Hospital in Schuylkill County will remain a non-participating provider.

McAnallen continued: “UPMC Health Plan is committed to expanding coverage across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.” This agreement applies to individuals enrolled in certain UPMC Health Plans, as well as certain self-insured employer group plans that opt into this coverage.
