UPMC for Life Hosts National Senior Health & Fitness Day at Lycoming Mall in Pennsdale
PENNSDALE, PA (May 14, 2019) – UPMC for Life members, UPMC Susquehanna Age Well members, and anyone aged 65 and older are invited to the Lycoming Mall to participate in activities that are part of the 26th anniversary of National Senior Health & Fitness Day on Wed., May 29, 2019 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nationally, more than 100,000 older adults will participate in health promotion events at more than 1,000 locations.
In Pennsylvania, UPMC for Life, the Medicare Advantage plan of UPMC Health Plan, is the state sponsor for National Senior Health & Fitness Day for the 12th consecutive year. UPMC for Life will host five events around the state that day, including this one at the Lycoming Mall.
Visitors can enjoy line dancing, a fitness walk, a local DJ, and a magician. Screenings for body mass index (BMI) and blood pressure readings will be available for UPMC for Life members who bring their active ID card.* UPMC for Life Health Care Concierges and pharmacists will be in attendance to talk to members about plan benefits and answer prescription drug questions.
UPMC for Life members will also learn how they can join a participating fitness facility at no additional cost.
Lycoming Mall is located at 300 Lycoming Mall Circle, Pennsdale, PA 17756.
UPMC for Life is also hosting National Senior Health & Fitness Day events at the Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County; at the Erie Zoo, Erie County; at Harrisburg City Island in Harrisburg, Dauphin County; and at the Logan Valley Mall in Altoona, Blair County.

*Preventive screenings are available for UPMC for Life members only. Members must bring their member ID card to receive preventive screenings. Non-members will not be able to receive preventive screenings.
