MONROEVILLE, Pa. (April 27, 2015) – UPMC Health Plan invites women to “Take a Little Time for You,” and also get some important health and wellness tips on nutrition, exercise, stress-busting strategies and more at a celebration of women’s health event at the UPMC Health Plan Connect Service and Sales Center at the Monroeville Mall on Saturday, May 2, 2015.
Women who visit the Connect Service and Sales Center that day can talk one-on-one with UPMC Health Plan health coaches and discuss topics such as heart health, diabetes, weight management, ways to deal with stress, mental health issues, and much more. Tables will be designated for each featured wellness topic and a health coach will be present at each table.
In addition, women can get free and private screenings for blood pressure, cholesterol, glucose, BMI and body fat. Free 10-minute chair massages will also be offered, as well as face painting and balloon art for kids, making this an event for the entire family.
Women, who want to reduce their risk for common conditions that affect women such as heart disease, diabetes, and depression, and who also want to get tips on how to better manage the stress in their lives, are invited to attend.
