PITTSBURGH (Sept.8, 2014) – “ Voices Carry,” the annual fund-raiser for Auberle, a nationally recognized human service organization based in McKeesport, will be sponsored this year by UPMC Health Plan.
The 10th annual Voices Carry will be held at Stage AE on the North Shore, on Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2014, from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
Voices Carry is a unique, upscale music event featuring more than 20 famous Pittsburgh musicians. The musicians volunteer their time and talent in support of the 3,000 at-risk children and families that Auberle serves each year in southwestern Pennsylvania.
The event, hosted by Randy Baumann of WDVE-FM’s “DVE Morning Show,” features a four-piece house band led by guitarist Rick Witkowski. Other featured performers include Vanessa Campagna, Scott Blasey of The Clarks, Madi Jaye, Jeff Jimerson, Etta Cox, Sputzy and many more. For a complete list of performers and for information about how to purchase tickets, visit www.auberle.org/voices-carry.
“UPMC Health Plan is pleased to be able to show our support for this wonderful and important organization, which does so much good for the families in our region,” said John Lovelace, President of UPMC for You. “Voices Carry carries Auberle’s message of hope to troubled children and families.”
The event was created to raise both awareness and funds for Auberle’s 16 program areas. Last year’s event welcomed over 500 guests and raised over $132,000 for Auberle.
“Voices Carry is Auberle’s largest event of the year and has been one of the most exciting events in the city for the last 10 years,” said Auberle CEO John Lydon. “The event would not be possible without sponsorship support, like that of UPMC Health Plan. Their support of Voices Carry is a tangible demonstration of their commitment to the community and their belief in the life changing work that Auberle does.”
